Each main is listed as its own race, from first. Lower mains run first and the top two bump up a main at a time, so the C feeds the B and the B feeds the A, and a driver who moved up is listed twice — in the race he won his way out of, and in the one he went on to run. Overall is where that put him across the whole class, and it sits on the higher of his two rows. Qualified is his seed across the whole class, which is what put him in the main he started — not a slot on that main’s grid. Nothing here is worth championship points: club nights are not scored.

Two 21-lap qualifiers half a second apart on the clock, at 97.68% and then 96.29% consistency, with a 13.756 in the second that stands as the quickest lap this class turned all night — that is a top seed collected with the handbrake on. The main was 21 again, 5:11.093 at 92.15% consistency off a 14.803 average, and five clear laps on anybody else in the class. Nothing in either session asked him a question he had to think about. TQ and the win, and the only thing he had to beat all afternoon was his own qualifying.

An opening run of 15 laps at a 20.357 average and 36.74% consistency is a lap chart with a hole in the middle rather than any read on pace, and the second qualifier put it right — 18 laps in 5:07.553 at 89.16%, level on lap count with Teagan Cummings' best and fifteen seconds quicker on the clock, which settled second on the grid. The A never got back to that standard: 16 laps in 5:07.428 at 85.51% consistency off a 19.152 average, with the winner disappearing five laps up the road. Second in the class, earned rather more in qualifying than in the race.

The opening qualifier was a proper run — 18 laps in 5:22.728 at 84.96% consistency — and it is the entire reason he had a grid slot; the second stopped after nine laps, though the 91.35% consistency and 15.252 best inside it were the tidier of his two sheets. Then the main recorded nothing at all against his name, and the rule there is plain — a driver credited with no laps still takes his finishing position, so third in the class stands as printed. That Q1 screen is the honest account of how quick the buggy was, and it says there was a real fight for second in it. Some Saturdays simply decline to hand it over.

The night in short

Three buggies, one main, and Jake Stoeltzing turned the whole afternoon into a demonstration — 21 laps in both qualifiers, half a second between them, 97.68% and then 96.29% consistency, and the class's quickest lap of the night at 13.756. The A was more of the same, 21 laps in 5:11.093 at 92.15%, and it came home five clear laps in front of anybody else in the class. Mathew Schroeder was the best of the rest and got there the hard way, rebuilding from a 15-lap opener at a 20.357 average into an 18-lap second qualifier in 5:07.553, fifteen seconds quicker than Teagan Cummings on the same lap count. His main slipped back to 16 laps at 85.51% consistency, which was still comfortably second, because Teagan Cummings' A recorded nothing at all against his name. That is a rough way to spend a Saturday rather than a hole in the timing — no laps still takes a finishing position, and third is his. One buggy in a class of its own, and a race decided by who could put laps on the board.

Twenty laps in the opening qualifier became 21 in the second at 96.25% consistency, and the top seed was settled before a main had lined up. The A was the same performance with everything turned up: 21 laps in 5:01.473, a 14.360 race average and 94.68% consistency, both the best in the class on the night. Nick Gibson came home on the same lap 2.933 seconds behind him, holding the quickest lap of the class's evening, so this was no stroll — it was a driver declining to hand over the tow. TQ and the win, without a soft column anywhere on his line.

Nobody else in the class found 21 laps in the first round of heats and he did, 5:12.323 at 95.28% consistency, and that run is the one that set his grid slot — the second went backwards to 20 laps and 88.46%, and Noah Hicklin's quicker 21 in Q2 took the front row off him. In the A he threw down a 13.736, the quickest lap this class turned all night, and ran 21 laps in 5:04.406 at 94.51% consistency, which is a sheet that wins most club mains. It did not win this one, by 2.933 seconds and about a tenth of a second a lap of race average.

Qualifying was a metronome: 20 laps in 5:06.260 at 93.00%, then 20 laps in 5:05.156 at 90.29%, barely a second between the two runs. The main brought 20 again and the calm went out of it — 81.95% consistency off a 15.817 average, comfortably the softest sheet of the three. A 13.913 in there was quicker than anything he managed in either qualifier, so third in a class this quick came with a decent souvenir attached.

The night in short

Three buggies, one main, and a class that shared the track with the 17.5 Expert field — same race IDs, scored separately, which is why this class fills the top three slots of a race that ran to six cars. Noah Hicklin did his work early, 20 laps and then 21 at 96.25% consistency for the top seed, and then did it all again in the A: 21 laps in 5:01.473 with the best race average and the steadiest sheet in the class. Nick Gibson made him earn every bit of it, matching the lap count in 5:04.406 at 94.51% and throwing down the quickest lap the class saw all night, a 13.736, for second by 2.933 seconds. Jake Stoeltzing was rock solid across two 20-lap qualifiers, went 20 again in the main and spent it at 81.95% consistency, the softest sheet of the three, which was still third by a comfortable margin. A tiny entry, enormous lap counts, and a front two separated by under three seconds after 21 laps apiece.

The second qualifier was the run that made his night: 18 laps in 5:02.009 at 94.37% consistency, two laps better than his first and only 1.222 seconds off the top seed. He turned it into 17 laps in the A, one more than anybody else got near, at a 19.023 average that was the best in the race. Teagan Cummings held the pace advantage on paper all evening; Brian Zimmerman simply kept lapping while the man in front of him could not. Second on the grid, first at the flag, and the most complete five minutes anybody put together.

Eighteen laps in 5:00.787 in the opening qualifier was the best run of the night in this class, and it came with a 15.301 that stands as the quickest lap 17.5 Expert turned all evening. The second run was steadier still at 95.16% across 15 laps, and then the A came apart: 16 laps at 53.79% consistency, a figure that describes a race spent picking the car up rather than driving it. The 15.484 he found in there was still the quickest lap of the main, so the speed never went anywhere — the clean five minutes did. Top seed to second, which stings more than a straightforward beating.

Both qualifiers moved the right way, 12 laps then 14 and 80.53% up to 88.59% consistency, and third on the grid came without any argument. The main matched that 88.59% to the decimal, which made it the steadiest sheet in the race, across 13 laps at a 24.170 average. He was never going to live with the lap times at the front, but he ran his own race cleanly from green to flag and third is what it paid.

No qualifying runs are recorded against his name at all, which put him fourth on the grid before a wheel turned, and the A came back with no laps either. That still takes fourth in the class — a driver credited with no laps keeps his finishing position, which is the rule and not a hole in the timing. Nothing on the page explains it, so the only fair thing to say is that the buggy never got its evening. He was entered and he was on the sheet, and some Saturdays that is all the night allows.

The night in short

Four cars, one A main, and a top seed who did not get the night his qualifying had earned. Teagan Cummings opened with 18 laps in 5:00.787 and the class's quickest lap of the evening at 15.301, then spent the main at 53.79% consistency, which is a race of interruptions rather than laps. Brian Zimmerman had chased him to within 1.222 seconds in qualifying with an 18-lap run of his own at 94.37%, and in the A he did the simple thing extremely well — 17 laps in 5:23.807 at the best race average of the four, and the win from second on the grid. Paul Andrade ran the steadiest sheet in the race at 88.59%, matching his second qualifier exactly, for 13 laps and third. Chris Gross had no qualifying runs recorded and no laps in the main, and still takes fourth in the class, because the sheet keeps a driver's place even when the timing has nothing to add. Two genuinely quick buggies at the front and a result decided entirely by who could keep it on the island.

A 15-lap opener at a 21.150 average is nobody's plan for a Saturday, and the second qualifier rewrote the evening entirely — 18 laps in 5:15.869 at 91.60% consistency and the top seed with it. The main was the same 18 laps and nearly fourteen seconds quicker at 5:01.974, run at 91.13% consistency off a 16.559 average, with a 14.902 in there that stands as the quickest lap this class turned all night. The P4 printed beside his name is a slot in a race carrying two other classes, not a position in 17.5 Expert — in his own class he was first and nobody came close to arguing. TQ and the win, built entirely on the two runs that came after the scrappy one.

Sixteen laps in both qualifiers, the second of them out of heat two and the tidier of the pair at 89.86% consistency — though heats are not seeded against each other, so it was the 5:09.180 from the opening run that fixed his grid slot. The main went the wrong way on him: 14 laps in 5:00.360 at 85.37% consistency, with an 18.123 quickest lap the better part of a second and a half slower than either of his heat bests and a 21.610 average to match. The P5 beside that line belongs to a race holding two other fields; in 17.5 Expert it was second, and he saw the chequer, which is more than the evening looked like giving him.

His opening qualifier was a thoroughly solid piece of work — 17 laps in 5:10.465 at 89.61% consistency behind a 15.749 quickest lap — and it put him second on the grid, a place ahead of Henry Ballew. Nothing followed it — the second qualifier registered no laps and neither did the main. Third in 17.5 Expert is exactly what the rule awards a driver credited with no laps, a rule and not an error, and that Q1 screen is the honest account of how quick the buggy was. Everybody collects one of these eventually; his turned up early and then stayed for the evening.

The night in short

Three cars in 17.5 Expert and no race of their own — the class was scored out of a session it shared with the 13.5 Expert 4wd and Mod 2wd fields, which is why the in-race positions beside these three read fourth, fifth and sixth rather than one, two and three. Mathew Schroeder settled it early and then settled it again: 18 laps in 5:15.869 at 91.60% consistency for the top seed after a 15-lap opener that had gone nowhere, then the same 18 laps nearly fourteen seconds quicker in the main, at 91.13% and carrying the class's quickest lap of the night at 14.902. Henry Ballew qualified on two 16-lap runs and could not get near them when it counted, his main coming back at 14 laps in 5:00.360 at 85.37% for second in the class. William Schroeder had the stranger evening of the two behind — a 17-lap opening qualifier at 89.61% put him second on the grid, and then the timing had nothing further to add, no laps in Q2 and none in the main, third in the class by the rule that keeps a driver his place. A small field, a winner who never looked like losing it, and a set of printed race numbers that reads odder than the racing was.

The second qualifier was the one to frame — 20 laps in 5:13.805 at 97.36% consistency off a 15.690 average, with a 14.976 in there that stood as the quickest lap this class turned all night. Nothing afterwards needed to be that good: the main came out at 19 laps in 5:11.327, a 16.426 average and 90.58% consistency, and it was still a clear lap more than anybody else could find. TQ and the win, with the top seed settled long before the A ever lined up. When a driver's softest column of the evening reads 90.58%, everyone else is racing for second.

Two 19-lap qualifiers 1.684 seconds apart, at 93.38% and 92.45% consistency, is a tidy pair of runs by any measure and it bought the front row without any fuss. The main was a lap shorter at 18 in 4:57.504, but the 15.054 he threw down in there was the quickest single lap anybody managed in the race, the winner included. A 16.560 average and 88.71% consistency say the pace was never the problem; the lap count simply went the other way. The closest thing Dennis Keith had to company all evening.

An opening qualifier of 16 laps at 87.52% consistency and an 18.794 average was quietly ordinary, and then Q2 turned into a different session entirely — 18 laps in 5:11.582 at 95.00%, two laps better and steadier by seven and a half points. The main declined to follow it: 16 laps, a 19.366 average and 85.08% consistency, back to where the night had started. Third, off a Q2 sheet that said he belonged rather closer to the two in front of him.

Seventeen laps in both qualifiers with 0.21 of a point between the consistency figures, 87.61% and 87.40%, is a man who found his level early and parked on it. The main slid off that level entirely — 15 laps, a 20.138 average and 81.82% consistency, the softest sheet of anybody in the race who put a lap on the board. A lap behind Chris Gross at the flag, with two qualifying runs that had promised a good deal steadier an afternoon than that.

His only completed qualifying run was 11 laps in 4:27.810 at 81.05% consistency, the second registering nothing at all, and the grid slot was assembled out of it. The main was comfortably the better half of his evening: 13 laps in 5:15.261, two more than he had managed in the heat, behind an 18.101 quickest lap that took the better part of two seconds off his Q1 best of 19.790. The 24.247 average is still a long way from the front, but everything moved the right way once the racing started.

Two laps and 1:06.271 in the opening qualifier was the whole of his recorded mileage for the evening, the second run and then the main both coming back blank. Sixth is what the rule awards and sixth is what he takes — no laps, no time, and nothing on the sheet that lets anyone judge the buggy. Everybody gets one of these; his arrived all at once and took the entire night with it.

The night in short

Six 4wd buggies and a top seed who turned qualifying into an exhibition — Dennis Keith's second run went 20 laps in 5:13.805 at 97.36% consistency with the class's quickest lap of the night at 14.976, and the A followed on 19 laps for a clear-lap win. Teagan Cummings had the better single lap in the race itself, a 15.054, and still came out a lap down; two 19-lap qualifiers 1.684 seconds apart had earned him the front row and the main gave him nowhere to spend it. Chris Gross found 18 laps at 95.00% consistency in the second qualifier and then went back to 16 in the race, which was worth third and not much fun. Brian Zimmerman's two matching 17-lap heats became a 15-lap main at 81.82% consistency, the softest sheet of anybody in the race who scored a lap, while Paul Andrade did his best driving when it counted, 13 laps in the A against 11 in his only completed qualifier. Victor Burger's evening amounted to two laps in Q1 and blank columns everywhere after it, which is a rotten way to spend a Saturday.

Two 18-lap qualifiers, the second in 5:03.483 at 91.52% consistency, put him on the front row without ever making him look like the quickest car in the class. The main settled that argument — 19 laps in 5:10.980, one more than he had managed in either heat, off a 16.372 average and a 15.002 quickest lap that was the best this class turned all night. That is a clear lap on the top qualifier and two on the men who finished third and fourth. The win from second on the grid, and it stopped being in doubt about the time the lap counter first ticked over.

Sixteen laps at 84.88% in the opener gave no hint of what followed: 19 laps in 5:08.004 at 94.01% consistency in the second qualifier, the best run anybody in the class put together all evening and the top seed by a distance. The A came back a lap short of that at 18 in 5:14.619, and while a 17.306 average and 89.77% consistency are perfectly respectable numbers, they were not the 19 laps Dennis Keith found alongside him. Top of the sheet when it was being timed and second when it was being decided — the one lap he could not repeat was the one that mattered.

An 11-lap second qualifier left a 16-lap Q1 to set the grid from, and last of the five on the seed is not a promising way into an A main. The race was the best of his three runs by some distance — 17 laps in 5:13.313 at 89.64% consistency, with a 15.805 quickest lap that beat both of his heat bests. Two places gained, the second of them by 1.506 seconds over Josh Strumillo on the same lap, and a buggy that plainly warmed to the evening as it went along.

Q2 was the making of his grid slot — 17 laps in 5:02.612 at 87.76% consistency, a lap better than the opener and third on the seed. He held that lap count in the main, 17 in 5:14.819, and still lost the place to Chris Gross by 1.506 seconds, with nearly four points of consistency between the two sheets to explain where it went. The 15.902 he threw down in there was quicker than anything he found in either heat, so the pace was sitting right there to be used.

The opening qualifier registered nothing at all, so the whole grid slot came out of Q2 — 17 laps in 5:18.058 at 86.46% consistency, good for fourth on the seed. The main gave him 16 laps in 5:00.361 at 85.20%, a lap adrift of the two cars that shared third and fourth between them and last of the five. Turning a blank first run into a full race is a fair afternoon's repair work, even if the result sheet hands out nothing for it.

The night in short

Five 4wd buggies scored out of a session they shared with the 17.5 Expert 2wd field — same cars on track, two sets of results. Charlie Hicklin owned qualifying: 19 laps in 5:08.004 at 94.01% consistency in the second run, the best anybody in the class managed, and the top seed with it. Dennis Keith owned the part that gets remembered, turning two 18-lap heats into a 19-lap main in 5:10.980 with the class's quickest lap of the night at 15.002, and finishing a clear lap up on the TQ. The best scrap was for third, where Chris Gross recovered from an 11-lap second qualifier to produce his best run of the day at exactly the right moment, 17 laps at 89.64% consistency, and took the place off Josh Strumillo by 1.506 seconds on the same lap — Josh Strumillo having started two places in front of him. Victor Burger worked Chris Gross's trick in reverse, a blank opening qualifier followed by 17 laps in Q2 and a complete 16-lap main. Five cars, no filler, and a winner who did not start from pole.

Neither qualifier said anything special — 17 laps twice, 5:10.701 and 5:17.075, third on the seed and nobody's tip for the win. The main was a different animal: 18 laps in 5:14.990 at 96.14% consistency, the steadiest run anybody in this class put together all night, with a 17.445 average the better part of a second a lap quicker than his own best heat. The 16.577 he threw down in there was the quickest lap the class turned all evening. Beaten to the top seed and still the only driver in the class to see 18 laps in any session — that is how you take a win off a TQ.

The first qualifier was the good one, 17 laps in 5:10.125 at 93.70% consistency, and it stood up when Q2 came back a lap short. He held that form into the race — 17 laps in 5:21.312 at 89.94% behind a 16.744 quickest lap that only the winner beat — and came home a lap behind Robert Summers and 3.289 seconds ahead of the man who had out-qualified the pair of them. Second in class off the front row, with not one soft column on the sheet.

Nobody in either heat put together a steadier run than his second qualifier — 17 laps in 5:04.627 at 95.83% consistency, better than ten seconds quicker than his own Q1 over the same distance — and the top seed came with it. The main never got near that: 17 laps again, but 5:24.601 of them, a 19.042 average and 87.25% consistency. Pole to third, 3.289 seconds behind Victor Burger and a lap behind the driver who started third. TQ is a column worth having, and on this occasion it was the only one he won.

Two 15-lap qualifiers 4.366 seconds apart put him fourth on the grid, and the main kept the lap count while improving everything underneath it — 15 laps in 5:06.988 at 92.63% consistency, some five points steadier than either heat, behind a 17.845 quickest lap that was the best of his three runs. Only the winner drove a steadier race than that. Fourth in class, 3.452 seconds up the road from Chris Gross with the same 15 laps on the board.

Three 15-lap runs, the two qualifiers near enough identical at 5:18.007 and 5:18.324 — 0.317 of a second between them — and then a main quicker than both at 5:10.440 without the lap count shifting. The 85.74% consistency in there was the softest of the five drivers who reached 15 laps, and the 20.665 average tells the same story the 17.423 quickest lap does: the speed arrived, it just never arrived twice in a row. Fifth in class after five minutes of chasing Simon Andrade and finishing 3.452 seconds short of him.

The quickest lap came down every time he went out — 30.255 in the first qualifier, 26.241 in the second, 26.193 in the main — which is exactly the direction those numbers are supposed to travel. The race itself was eight laps in 5:10.938 at a 39.123 average, with the nine laps of his second qualifier standing as the high point of his night. Last of the six and a long way back, but a driver who got quicker in every session he ran has something to take home from it.

Six buggies, one A main, and a top seed who did not win it. Brian Zimmerman qualified on the steadiest run the class produced in either heat, 17 laps in 5:04.627 at 95.83% consistency, and then watched Robert Summers turn up to the race with 18 laps in 5:14.990 at 96.14% — the only 18-lap run anybody in the class managed all night, and it carried the class's quickest lap of the night at 16.577. Victor Burger split them, 17 laps off the front row and 3.289 seconds clear of Brian Zimmerman at the flag. Simon Andrade drove the second-steadiest main at 92.63% consistency for fourth, 3.452 seconds ahead of Chris Gross, whose three runs all came back at 15 laps with the quick single laps never joining up. Sawyer Andrade brought up the rear on eight laps and took his quickest lap down in every session he ran, which is the sort of trend that turns into positions eventually. TQ to one man, the win to another, and a race the seeding sheet completely failed to predict.

The top seed came off the very first run of the night — 17 laps in 5:07.533 at 92.73% consistency — and given how the A turned out, it was just as well he banked it early. The main was 17 laps in 5:06.469 and 0.530 of a second of breathing room after five minutes, with Robert Summers beating him on quickest lap (16.300 against 16.471), race average (17.863 against 18.145) and consistency (92.74% against 89.84%) and still finishing behind him. TQ and the win, taken by half a second and by the correct half at that.

Every column on his sheet was better than the winner's except the one that gets printed in bold: a 16.300 quickest lap that stood as the best this class turned all night, a 17.863 race average and 92.74% consistency, all of it worth 0.530 of a second less than it needed to be. Two 17-lap qualifiers had put him alongside Josh Strumillo on the grid, and the pair of them came out of the A on the same lap count with barely half a second in it. Losing while owning the better numbers is its own particular flavour of annoying, and he had a full five minutes to think about it.

A blank opening qualifier followed by a four-lap second run is no way to prepare for anything, and it left him fourth on the seed with next to no read on the buggy. The main was where his evening actually happened: 16 laps in 5:00.091 at 92.88% consistency, the steadiest sheet of the five in this class, off a 16.696 quickest lap and an 18.543 average. Third in class from a driver who had turned four laps all day before the race started, which is either fine adaptability or a very quick fix in the pits.

Two 15-lap qualifiers thirteen seconds apart, 5:01.288 and 5:14.358, had him third on the seed and squarely in the argument for the places. The main found a sixteenth lap — 16 in 5:05.140 at 89.91% consistency with a 17.029 quickest lap better than either heat — and it still came out 5.049 seconds behind Chris Gross. Fourth in class on the best run of his night, in a race where all three cars ahead of him improved on their qualifying as well.

Nothing in Q1, nothing in Q2 and nothing in the main — the sheet carries his name, a fifth seed off 0/0.000, and no other figure anywhere on it. He still takes his place in the class, because that is what the rule says, and the race number reading sixth is the Novice field sharing the track rather than a buggy that beat him. He did put a full 16 laps on the board in the 13.5 4wd class the same afternoon, so the day was not a write-off; this half of it simply never got going.

The night in short

Five buggies scored out of a session shared with the Novice field, which is why one race number does not match the class order. Josh Strumillo took the top seed on the very first run of the night and then held Robert Summers off by 0.530 of a second in the A, 17 laps apiece, with Summers holding the class's quickest lap of the night at 16.300, the better race average and the steadier sheet — and second place. Chris Gross arrived at the main with four laps of qualifying to his name and produced 16 laps at 92.88% consistency, the steadiest of the five in the race. Chuck Burns found a sixteenth lap when it counted and came home 5.049 seconds adrift of Chris Gross over the same distance. Victor Burger never got a lap recorded in any session, which the sheet notes without comment and the rest of us can call rotten luck. Half a second between the front two after five minutes is the sort of racing a small entry is supposed to produce and hardly ever does.

TQ and the win off half the running everybody else did, on an afternoon that also had him out in two buggy classes.

Third on the grid became second on the road, 9.095 seconds behind a truck that never looked like coming back to him. Quickest lap of the night in the class and the runner-up spot, from a driver whose qualifying had peaked at 15 laps.

Five laps in the opening qualifier left everything resting on the second run, and 15 laps in 5:13.779 at 89.62% consistency duly delivered — second on the grid, ahead of a truck that had also seen 15 laps in a heat. The main came back at 14 laps in 5:04.096, a couple short of the pair in front, but the 91.03% consistency inside it was the steadiest sheet of the three and better than either of his own qualifiers. He drove a good deal more neatly than the lap count makes it look.

The night in short

Three trucks, one A main, and a winner who completed exactly one qualifier all afternoon. Brian Zimmerman's second run registered nothing at all, but the 16 laps banked in the opener held the top seed, and he converted it with 16 laps in 5:00.098 and 9.095 seconds in hand. Chris Gross matched that lap count in the race and took second with the class's quickest lap of the night, a 16.847 in the main, having qualified third on a 15-lap run. Simon Andrade recovered from a five-lap opener to seed second on 15 laps, then came home a couple of laps down with 91.03% consistency, the steadiest sheet of the three. Nobody had a disaster, the order swapped once between the grid and the flag, and a nine-second gap at the front is about as honest as a three-truck class gets.

Every session was better than the one before it, which is the only trend that matters when you are learning: 10 laps in 5:28.826 first time out, 10 again in the second but nearly 25 seconds quicker at 5:04.087, and then 11 laps in 5:19.448 in the A. The best lap came down every time with it — 30.370, then 23.647, then a 21.978 in the main that was the quickest lap Novice turned all night — and the average dropped from 32.883 to 30.409 to 28.770 alongside. Novice was one car deep, so nothing is credited as a win or a TQ; turning up alone tops nothing, and it does not need to. Three sessions, three steps forward, and a driver visibly quicker by the end of the evening than he was at the start of it.

Novice was a one-car class on this night, and it ran inside the 21.5 Independent 2wd Buggy session — same race IDs, scored separately, raced together, which is why Cutler Eckhoff's main line sits fifth in a race full of another class's buggies. None of that changes what the numbers did, and what they did was improve at every time of asking: 10 laps in 5:28.826, then 10 in 5:04.087, then 11 in 5:19.448 in the A. His quickest lap came down from 30.370 to 23.647 to a 21.978 in the main, the best Novice saw all evening, and the race average followed it from 32.883 down to 28.770. A single entrant is credited with no win and no TQ here, because turning up alone tops nothing — but turning up is the whole job in Novice, and he did it three sessions running and got quicker in each of them. That is exactly how this is supposed to look.

How a night runs

Two qualifiers, then mains. Seeding is most laps, and on equal laps the quicker time — so 20/5:10 beats 20/5:25, and a single fast lap on its own moves nobody. Every figure in a qualifying row describes the one run a driver was seeded on rather than his best number from each.

A big class splits into an A and a B, and a bigger one into a C as well. The lower mains run first and the top two move up a main at a time — the C bumps into the B, the B bumps into the A — so a driver can race twice in a night. Each main is published as its own race, counted from first, and a driver who moved up appears in both of his: the one he won his way out of and the one he went on to run.
